Fort Ross Journals

The 5th grade class visited historic Fort Ross this last week and took a step back in time to the 1830’s. As part of their visit students  worked as cooks making a big Russian diner or as militia, patrolling and protecting the fort. This was my second visit and this year the ‘Captian ‘ and I had the honor of lighting the cannon ( so cool). Students recorded their experience in their hand made journals, here are some excerpts:
