We had a great time on our camping trip last week to Sunol Regional Park where we camped overnight. On the first day our class hiked the Yosemite Trail, a 3 mile loop to the watershed, where kids enjoyed rolling hills and rock scrambling. On our hike students worked in groups to identify trees, birds and insects; we saw all sorts of wild life like turkeys, deer, golden eagles and tarantulas. That evening we went on a night hike to observe the Orionids, a meteor shower, but saw very few meteorites because it was so early. It was a great trip and got us ready for our spring trip to big Yosemite.
